Our presentation and speaking skills workshops are designed to help scientists, researchers, and academics put the audience first and then tailoring their message to make sure that it is clear and actionable.
All of our programmes cover the skills participants need to deal with virtual, live and “in-the-room”, and pre-recorded events.
Each workshop can be tailored to the needs of your organisation, and by sending each participant a needs assessment questionnaire in advance, we are able to adjust for individual needs, too.
Practical Presentation Skills
In this hands-on programme we’ll cover the basics of communication (something we all-too-often forget!), how to craft and structure an audience-focused presentation, the art of delivery, nerves, questions, and how to plan for success.
Poster Design & Delivery Skills
In this workshop, we’ll cover what needs to be on a poster, introduce participants to tried and tested design rules and new thinking in poster design, how to use modern technology effectively, how to adapt a poster to the audience, and how to present and discuss a poster orally.
Sharing Research with Storytelling & Narrative
Using narrative structures and stories help to make content easier to understand and actionable. In this programme, we’ll explain how stories work, how can they can be used in communicating research and results, and how to plan, structure, and deliver stories without dumbing-down data.
Public Speaking Skills
Public speaking is about the speaker, their connection to the audience, and their ability change hearts, minds, and drive action. Our public speaking training is designed to help participants plan, structure, and deliver messages that matter.
